Public IP Finder

Find your real public IP address using WebRTC technology.

What is a Public IP Address?

Your public IP address is the unique identifier assigned to your device by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It's how websites and online services recognize you on the internet. Unlike many IP lookup tools that rely on server requests, our Public IP Finder uses WebRTC technology to detect your IP directly in your browser - no server requests needed. This provides a more accurate result, especially if you're using a VPN or proxy service. Whether you're troubleshooting network issues, setting up remote access, or just curious about your online identity, this tool gives you a fast, private way to find your real public IP address.

How Does This IP Finder Work?

This tool uses WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) technology to find your public IP address directly from your browser. Here's how it works:

  1. WebRTC Connection. When you click the button, your browser creates a WebRTC connection.
  2. STUN Server Request. This connection contacts a STUN server (Session Traversal Utilities for NAT).
  3. IP Discovery. The STUN server helps discover your public IP address, even if you're behind a router or NAT.
  4. Client-Side Processing. Your IP is processed entirely in your browser - no data is sent to our servers.
  5. Private IP Filtering. The tool automatically filters out private IP addresses (like 192.168.x.x) to show only your public IP.

This method is more reliable than server-based IP detection, especially when using VPNs or proxies, as it can reveal your actual network path.
